PHOENIX – Longtime sports executive Jay Parry has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the 2024 Men’s Final Four Host Committee.

Parry, who led the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee for the 2015 and 2023 Super Bowls, was selected by the 2024 Men’s Final Four Host Committee, which will work with the NCAA to execute the 2024 Men’s Final Four, set for April 6 and April 8, 2024 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.

Parry is responsible for leading the host committee operations and collaborating with the NCAA leading up to the Valley’s second Men’s Final Four; the first was in 2017, with North Carolina winning the national championship. The host committee will team up with community partners and Arizona State University, the host school, to drive the Men’s Final Four’s myriad ancillary events and to establish legacy projects that will ensure the lasting impact of the Men’s Final Four.

“The host committee unanimously selected Jay for her leadership skills and deep experience in leading mega sporting events,” said the committee’s co-chair Tom Sadler, President and CEO of the Arizona Sports and Tourism Authority. “Jay understands how to bring together a diverse array of community stakeholders – from both the public and private sectors – to support the Men’s Final Four and ensure the maximum return on investment to Arizona.”

“I’m honored to lead Arizona’s second Men’s Final Four and build on the success of the 2017 Men’s Final Four, and to continue the momentum from the other mega events that have generated so much positive community and economic impact for Arizona,” Parry said. “Arizona has an unmatched record of hosting mega events. We promise to provide an unforgettable experience for the visiting teams, alumni, fans, media and NCAA corporate champions and partners, as well as Arizona residents.”

Parry is no stranger to basketball, having served as an executive with the WNBA league office, the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and the NBA’s Phoenix Suns.

“We’re delighted to have Jay serve as President and CEO of the 2024 Men’s Final Four Host Committee,” co-chair Debbie Johnson said. “This is an important position responsible not only for planning the Men’s Final Four and the many activities that will take place leading up to and during one of the most exciting sporting events of the year, but also for the lasting impact this event leaves on Arizona.”
