The Phoenix Local Organizing Committee (PLOC) is an Arizona Nonprofit Corporation formed to work in conjunction with the NCAA as it plans for the upcoming Final Four in 2017. Composed of local community, sports and tourism leaders, the PLOC collaborates with the NCAA to help host the Final Four.

The NCAA Experience

What are the ancillary and community events that surround the Final Four games?
Since 2003, the NCAA has added a number of events to enhance the Final Four experience, most specifically for the residents of the host city. The NCAA understands that most of the local citizens will not be able to attend the Final Four games and they have provided other interactive events. The NCAA also desires to make an impact on the local community that is serving as its host and has developed a number of community events that represent the spirit of the student-athlete and the Final Four. The National Association of Basketball Coaches is the largest professional association of basketball coaches and currently claims a membership of nearly 5,000 men’s basketball coaches throughout the ranks of the NCAA, NAIA, junior and community colleges, and high school. They hold their annual convention in conjunction with Final Four Weekend.
